GAMBLE WITH YOUR FRIENDS
TENSTACK AB
Last updated 2026-05-01
Thank you for playing GAMBLE WITH YOUR FRIENDS. We've written this EULA to set out the rules: what we (TENSTACK) can do, what you can do, and how we handle the data the Game generates. It's longer than we'd like, but the parts that matter legally need to be here in full. If anything is unclear or you have questions about this agreement, email us at [email protected].
A note on developer comments. Throughout this document you'll see paragraphs in italics labelled "DEVELOPER COMMENT." Those are us speaking directly to you about why a particular clause is written the way it is, or why we made a particular choice. They're for context only -- they are not part of the legal agreement and are not binding in any way.
PLEASE READ THIS AGREEMENT CAREFULLY. BY CLICKING "I ACCEPT" (OR EQUIVALENT), YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND BY THE GWYF PRIVACY POLICY (LINKED BELOW). IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT INSTALL OR PLAY GAMBLE WITH YOUR FRIENDS (THE "GAME"). REFUNDS ARE AVAILABLE UNDER THE STEAM REFUND POLICY.
Privacy. Data we process in connection with the Game is described in the GWYF Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement: https://gamblewithyourfriends.se/#game-privacy-policy-v1. By accepting this agreement, you also acknowledge the GWYF Privacy Policy.
Your use of Steam is also subject to the Steam Subscriber Agreement: https://store.steampowered.com/subscriber_agreement (the "Steam SSA"). The Game is distributed worldwide via Steam in all territories where Steam lawfully operates. Nothing in this agreement overrides the Steam SSA, the Steam refund policy, or mandatory consumer rights in your jurisdiction.
1. About This Agreement
This agreement is a legal contract between you ("You", "End User", "Player") and TENSTACK AB ("TENSTACK", "we", "us"), a Swedish aktiebolag with registered office at Magnus Ladulåsgatan 65, 118 27 Stockholm, Sweden, organisation number 559506-8353. It governs your use of the Game.
Acceptance of this agreement is a condition of installing or playing the Game. Age gating, geographical availability, payment, refunds, and Steam account matters are handled by Steam at platform level under the Steam SSA. Data processing is described in the GWYF Privacy Policy linked above. This platform-level handling does not limit TENSTACK's responsibilities as the content provider and data controller under applicable law.
References to specific laws (such as GDPR, Digital Content Directive, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, COPPA) are included to explain rights that may apply to you. They are not a representation that every procedural requirement of every listed regime applies to TENSTACK in all circumstances. Where mandatory local rules apply to you, those rules prevail.
2. Definitions
For purposes of this agreement:
- "Game" means GAMBLE WITH YOUR FRIENDS and any updates, patches, or related software distributed by TENSTACK via Steam.
- "Virtual Currency" means in-game tokens used for simulated betting. Virtual Currency has no real-world monetary value, cannot be redeemed, and is non-transferable between accounts. The Game contains no technical functionality for transfer of Virtual Currency between accounts.
- "Player", "you", "End User" means any individual who installs, accesses, or plays the Game.
- "Steam SSA" means the Steam Subscriber Agreement operated by Valve Corporation.
- "GWYF Privacy Policy" means the privacy notice for the Game published at https://gamblewithyourfriends.se/#game-privacy-policy-v1.
- "US Player" means a Player ordinarily resident in the United States or its territories.
- "EU/EEA/UK Player" means a Player ordinarily resident in the European Union, European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom.
3. License to Use the Game
TENSTACK grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Game for personal, non-commercial entertainment via your authorised Steam account.
All intellectual property rights in the Game, including software, design, content, and trademarks, remain the exclusive property of TENSTACK or its licensors.
You may not:
- Copy, distribute, resell, rent, or sublicense the Game
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code, except as expressly permitted by Section 3.1 (Player-Created Content) below or by mandatory law
- Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the Game, except as expressly permitted by Section 3.1 below
- Use the Game for commercial purposes
- Use the Game, its content, its code, or any data obtained from it to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or otherwise provide input to artificial intelligence or machine learning systems
- Use the Game's name or trademarks in connection with any product or service in a manner likely to cause confusion
- Upload, republish, or incorporate the Game or its content in any database or compilation
You may upload recordings of yourself playing the Game on streaming and video platforms (Twitch, YouTube, and similar), provided such use does not infringe TENSTACK's intellectual property, is not defamatory or unlawful, and is not used to misrepresent your relationship with TENSTACK.
3.1 Player-Created Content
To the extent you create modifications, custom content, or other works based on the Game ("Player-Created Content"), the following rules apply.
(a) Permitted Player-Created Content. You may create, share, and distribute non-commercial Player-Created Content of the following kinds:
- Visual modifications such as skins, custom art, UI themes, or cosmetic tweaks that do not alter game mechanics or random outcomes
- Custom languages or translations
- Recordings, replays, screenshots, or gameplay videos
- Other purely cosmetic or community modifications that do not fall within the prohibited categories below
(b) Prohibited Player-Created Content. You may not create, share, or distribute Player-Created Content that:
- Changes the random outcome, odds, payouts, or balance of any mini-game
- Adds real-money mechanics, trading systems, or external betting interfaces
- Connects the Game to any external gambling, betting, or payment service
- Bypasses age verification, parental controls, or Steam-level controls
- Contains sexually explicit, hateful, racist, ethnically or religiously abusive, or otherwise harmful content
- Misrepresents itself as official TENSTACK content or as endorsed by TENSTACK
- Infringes any third party's intellectual property or other rights
- Violates this agreement, the Steam SSA, or applicable law
(c) IP ownership. You retain intellectual property rights in your original contribution to Player-Created Content. By creating and sharing Player-Created Content based on the Game, you grant TENSTACK a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable license to use, reproduce, distribute, modify, and publicly display the Player-Created Content for any purpose related to the Game, to the extent permitted by applicable law and subject to your moral rights where they cannot be waived.
(d) Warranties. You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to create the Player-Created Content and to grant the licence in (c), and that the Player-Created Content does not infringe any third party's rights.
(e) Take-down and enforcement. TENSTACK may, at its sole discretion and in proportion to the issue, remove access to or take action against Player-Created Content that violates this Section 3.1. Where such content is hosted by TENSTACK or on a TENSTACK-controlled platform, it is also subject to that platform's rules.
(f) Future Fan Creation Policy. TENSTACK may publish a more detailed Fan Creation Policy at any time providing additional examples and guidance. Where such a policy is published and made available, it forms part of this agreement; it cannot expand the prohibitions in (b) without active acceptance of a material change under Section 14.
+----------------------------------------------------------+
DEVELOPER COMMENT (context only, not legally binding)
+----------------------------------------------------------+
We've structured this to encourage harmless modding -- cosmetic skins, custom art, translations, gameplay videos -- while keeping firm guardrails around mods that could create regulatory or safety risks. We're not anti-modding; we're against mods that could turn the Game into actual gambling. If you're not sure whether your idea is okay, ask us at [email protected].
+----------------------------------------------------------+
4. Age Requirement
The Game is intended for players aged 13 and over, with the additional requirement that players must meet or exceed the Steam store age rating shown for the Game in their jurisdiction.
By accepting this agreement and playing the Game, you represent and warrant that you (a) are at least 13 years of age, (b) meet any higher minimum age set by the Steam store rating for the Game in your country, and (c) if you are under 18 years of age, represent that you have obtained the consent of a parent or legal guardian to play.
Players under 18 should play with parental awareness. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising the participation of minors and for deciding whether the simulated betting content of the Game is appropriate for the player.
Age verification is the responsibility of the player and, where applicable, their parent or guardian. Steam provides an age-gate at store level. TENSTACK does not independently verify player age beyond these declarations and Steam's store-level mechanism.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe data has been processed from a child (under 13) without appropriate parental or guardian consent, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly. This notice is intended to comply with the United States Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and analogous laws.
+----------------------------------------------------------+
DEVELOPER COMMENT (context only, not legally binding)
+----------------------------------------------------------+
We chose a tiered approach for age. The Game has been rated by international rating boards from 12 to 14 across different countries, reflecting the design decision to use only simulated betting with no real-money mechanics. We use 13 as our minimum because it aligns with the global baseline for online services for minors (COPPA in the US, GDPR Art. 8 lower bound in Sweden). We require parental involvement for all under-18s because the Game involves simulated betting -- even with no real money, that is a topic guardians should weigh in on. We do not try to verify age beyond declarations and Steam's own age gate, because the alternative would beupdated, lol.collecting government identification we do not want to hold.
+----------------------------------------------------------+
5. Simulated Betting & Responsible Play
The Game includes simulated betting mechanics using Virtual Currency only.
- Virtual Currency has no real-world monetary value
- Virtual Currency cannot be redeemed, traded, gifted, sold, or exchanged for money, prizes, or items inside or outside the Game
- Virtual Currency is non-transferable between player accounts; no in-game mechanism for such transfers exists
- No real money is wagered, won, or lost
The Game is intended as entertainment only. It is not designed to constitute gambling under applicable law; however, regulatory interpretations may vary by jurisdiction. You are responsible for ensuring use of the Game is lawful in your country. Geographical availability is determined by Steam.
If you or someone you know has concerns about gambling behaviour, support is available via:
- Sweden: https://stodlinjen.se
- United States: 1-800-522-4700, https://www.ncpgambling.org
+----------------------------------------------------------+
DEVELOPER COMMENT (context only, not legally binding)
+----------------------------------------------------------+
We built this Game as entertainment. No real money enters the Game, no real money leaves, and no in-game item can be traded or cashed out. We believe that makes it clearly separate from regulated gambling. We also know that the line between "simulated" and "real" gambling is being actively redrawn by regulators in multiple countries. If the way we built the Game is ever found to cross that line in your country, that's a product problem, not one we try to solve by wording in this agreement.
+----------------------------------------------------------+
6. Privacy and Data
Summary. We collect limited gameplay telemetry -- your current Steam Profile Name and round-level events (bet amounts, outcomes, win/loss totals) from the Game's mini-games -- transmitted to a TENSTACK server in Sweden. We process this on the basis of legitimate interests under GDPR Article 6(1)(f) for game design, defect detection, and balance monitoring of the Game's mini-games. We do not collect your Steam ID, payment data, IP address, or contact details, and we do not sell, share, or use the data for advertising. You have the right to object under GDPR Article 21. Voluntary bug reports may be submitted via an in-Game form or by email to [email protected].
Full details. Full information about data we collect, how we process it, where it is stored, your privacy rights, and applicable legal bases is set out in the GWYF Privacy Policy published at https://gamblewithyourfriends.se/#game-privacy-policy-v1. The GWYF Privacy Policy forms part of this agreement and is incorporated by reference. By accepting this agreement, you also acknowledge the GWYF Privacy Policy.
7. Service Availability
TENSTACK does not host the Game's real-time multiplayer sessions; those run peer-to-peer via Steam. The Game itself, once installed via Steam, is largely independent of TENSTACK's ongoing operation.
TENSTACK may modify, suspend, or discontinue the TENSTACK-side services connected to the Game (such as the telemetry endpoint or any future leaderboard service), or issue Game updates, for valid reasons including technical maintenance, security, legal compliance, substantial changes to underlying mechanics, or discontinuation of commercial operation.
Where a modification, suspension, or discontinuation of TENSTACK-side services materially and adversely affects players, TENSTACK will provide prior notice via the Steam news feed and/or in-game notice at least 30 days in advance where reasonably practicable. A discontinuation decision does not displace any mandatory consumer remedies that may apply under local law, including remedies under the Digital Content Directive (EU 2019/770) such as bringing the Game into conformity, repair, replacement, or proportionate refund where applicable.
We do not guarantee that the Game or any TENSTACK-side service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
+----------------------------------------------------------+
DEVELOPER COMMENT (context only, not legally binding)
+----------------------------------------------------------+
Because the multiplayer game runs peer-to-peer via Steam, the Game itself does not depend on us keeping a server up. If our telemetry collector or, in future, a leaderboard service goes offline, you will still be able to play with friends.
+----------------------------------------------------------+
8. Force Majeure
TENSTACK shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance arising from events beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labour disputes, governmental action, or pandemics. This clause does not extend to obligations TENSTACK owes under the Digital Content Directive or mandatory consumer law regarding digital content conformity.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE GAME IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, BEYOND THOSE REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW. TENSTACK DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, AND ACCURACY.
TENSTACK DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE GAME WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. NO ORAL OR WRITTEN ADVICE FROM TENSTACK CREATES A WARRANTY.
Nothing in this section limits liability where such limitation is not permitted under applicable law, including the statutory guarantee of conformity under the Digital Content Directive (EU 2019/770), liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, liability for death or personal injury, or other mandatory consumer protections.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TENSTACK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR ANY OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE GAME, EVEN IF TENSTACK HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TENSTACK'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER THIS AGREEMENT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID FOR THE GAME IN THE 12 MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. To the extent that such exclusions are not permitted, TENSTACK's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. In the European Union, nothing in this section limits TENSTACK's liability under the Digital Content Directive, for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, death, personal injury, or other mandatory consumer law.
11. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, and only in cases of your intentional misconduct or gross negligence, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless TENSTACK, its officers, employees, and contractors from direct damages awarded to third parties in claims arising from your:
- Intentional unlawful use of the Game
- Cheating, hacking, reverse engineering, or unauthorised manipulation of the Game
- Intentional breach of a third party's rights through your conduct in connection with the Game
The conduct described above triggers indemnification only when carried out intentionally or with gross negligence.
This obligation does not apply to your ordinary, legitimate, or merely negligent use of the Game. It does not extend to TENSTACK's own legal or defence costs. It does not apply where such indemnification cannot be required from a consumer under mandatory consumer protection law (including Swedish and EU law).
12. Termination & Player Conduct
Because TENSTACK does not host real-time gameplay sessions, TENSTACK's practical enforcement actions are limited. TENSTACK may, in proportion to the severity of the conduct: stop processing telemetry for a player; refuse to display a player on any TENSTACK-operated feature (such as future leaderboards); revoke any optional opt-in permissions previously granted; report serious misconduct to Steam; and pursue legal remedies. TENSTACK does not control your Steam ownership of the Game.
Conduct for which TENSTACK may take such actions includes:
- Violating this agreement
- Exploiting bugs, glitches, or unintended Game behaviour to gain unfair advantage
- Using unauthorised third-party tools, bots, macros, or automation
- Manipulating leaderboards through coordinated or collusive play, account sharing, or multi-accounting
- Engaging in deliberate actions intended to impair the Game experience for other players
- Attempting to access, probe, or disrupt TENSTACK servers, backend APIs, or network infrastructure
- Conducting denial-of-service activity
- Transmitting malicious code
- Engaging in targeted harassment, threats, or abuse directed at other players through any in-Game channel
- Using in-game chat, nicknames, or any user-submitted content to post sexually explicit, hateful, racist, ethnically or religiously abusive, or otherwise harmful language or imagery
- Publishing another player's real-world personal information in the Game or any related channel
- Impersonating TENSTACK, its employees or contractors, or another player
- Buying, selling, trading, renting, or transferring your Steam account, the Game, or any access to it for money or other consideration, or gifting it to circumvent platform restrictions
- Advertising, promoting, or soliciting products, services, or fundraising inside the Game
- Creating, using, distributing, or hosting server emulators or modified backends
- Collecting personal information from other players without their clear consent
- Soliciting personal information from any individual you know or should know to be under 18
- Using the Game to facilitate illegal activity
Where possible, TENSTACK will warn you before taking action, except in cases of severe misconduct, safety risk, or repeated violations. None of these actions affect your Steam ownership of the Game, which is governed by the Steam SSA. None of them affect your legal rights regarding your data.
+----------------------------------------------------------+
DEVELOPER COMMENT (context only, not legally binding)
+----------------------------------------------------------+
We wrote a long list because if we ever do need to take action, that action needs to be predictable and defensible, not arbitrary. We do not use these rules as a menu to silence people we disagree with.
+----------------------------------------------------------+
13. Right of Withdrawal (EU/EEA/UK Consumers)
Under Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), and the equivalent provision under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content supplied without a tangible medium does not apply once performance has begun with the consumer's express prior consent and acknowledgment that the right is thereby lost.
By clicking "I Accept" on this agreement during installation or at first launch, you (a) expressly consent to the immediate commencement of performance of the Game, and (b) acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal at that point. Your acceptance forms the operative waiver under Article 16(m).
Steam's purchase and download flow may also capture similar consent and acknowledgment under Steam's own terms; where it does, that is additional confirmation under Steam's separate agreement with you, not a substitute for your acceptance here.
If you have not yet clicked "I Accept" and wish to exercise any remaining right of withdrawal, you may seek a refund via Steam. Refund requests outside this waiver remain available under the Steam Refund Policy.
14. Notices & Changes to This Agreement
We may update this agreement to reflect changes in the Game, legal requirements, or operational needs.
Material changes are those that significantly affect your rights or obligations. Material changes include, but are not limited to, changes to: (a) price or fees, (b) core gameplay access, (c) categories of data collected, (d) purposes of data processing, (e) sharing of data with new third parties, (f) governing law or dispute resolution, (g) the limitation of liability cap in Section 10, or (h) the data retention period set out in the GWYF Privacy Policy. For material changes, we will present the updated terms in-game on next launch and require your active acceptance before you can continue to play. If you do not accept, your access to Game features may end; this will not affect your Steam ownership of the Game.
For minor or non-material changes (e.g., typographical corrections, clarifications, or updates to links), we will notify you via the Steam news feed for the Game and/or an in-game notice. Continued use of the Game after the effective date constitutes acceptance of such non-material changes.
Updates to the GWYF Privacy Policy are governed by that document's own change-notice procedure.
15. Take Down Notice (Intellectual Property)
TENSTACK respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe content in or associated with the Game infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, you may submit a Take Down Notice to [email protected] containing:
- A description of the work or right you claim has been infringed, in sufficient detail to identify it
- A description of the allegedly infringing content and where it can be found
- A statement of good faith belief that the use is unauthorised
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and -- under penalty of perjury -- that you are the owner or are authorised to act on behalf of the owner
- Your contact details and physical or electronic signature
TENSTACK will respond to valid notices in a reasonable time and may, at its discretion, remove the challenged content or take other action it deems appropriate. This procedure is intended to comply with the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) where applicable.
16. Feedback
Any ideas, suggestions, feature requests, comments, or other feedback ("Feedback") you submit to TENSTACK regarding the Game are voluntary. To the extent permitted by applicable law, by submitting Feedback you grant TENSTACK a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable, transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and exploit the Feedback for any purpose, without obligation or compensation to you. You retain the right to use your own ideas; this provision does not assign your underlying intellectual property in any pre-existing material, and does not extend to any moral rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
17. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflicts of law principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
Nothing in this section deprives consumers of mandatory protections available under the law of their habitual residence. Where local consumer protection law in your country, state, or province (including any non-waivable consumer protection statutes in US states such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, Unfair Competition Law, False Advertising Law, Consumers Legal Remedies Act, or analogous statutes elsewhere) provides stronger protection than Swedish law, those local protections prevail and the remainder of this agreement remains effective under Swedish law.
18. Dispute Resolution
We encourage you to contact us first at [email protected] to resolve any dispute informally. We will attempt to resolve your dispute within 60 days of receiving a written notice.
If the dispute is not resolved within 60 days:
- If you are an EU/EEA/UK Player, you may use the procedures in Section 19 (EU/EEA/UK Consumer Disputes)
- Otherwise, disputes are resolved in the courts of Stockholm, Sweden, with the Stockholm District Court (Stockholms tingsrätt) as first venue, without prejudice to your right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country, state, or province of residence where mandatory consumer protection law gives you that right. Either party may bring an action in small claims court if the dispute qualifies under local rules. Either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to preserve the status quo pending resolution of a dispute.
19. EU/EEA/UK Consumer Disputes
If you are an EU/EEA/UK Player and an unresolved dispute remains after the informal resolution period in Section 18, you may use:
- In Sweden, the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN): https://www.arn.se
- In other EU/EEA/UK jurisdictions, any applicable national alternative dispute resolution body for consumer disputes.
TENSTACK is not legally obliged to participate in ARN proceedings but will consider requests in good faith. EU/EEA/UK Players retain the right to bring claims in the courts of their country of residence under mandatory consumer protection law.
20. One-Year Claim Limitation (US Players Only)
If you are a US Player, you and TENSTACK agree that any cause of action arising out of or relating to this agreement must be commenced within one (1) year after the cause of action accrues, or it is permanently barred. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by mandatory law in your jurisdiction. It does not shorten any non-waivable statutory limitation period, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act, Unfair Competition Law, False Advertising Law, Consumers Legal Remedies Act, or analogous state consumer-protection, privacy, personal-injury, fraud, or minors' claims statutes. EU/EEA/UK Players are subject to the statutory limitation periods in their country of residence.
21. Service of Process and Notices to TENSTACK
TENSTACK is a Swedish entity and does not maintain a registered agent for service of process in the United States or any country other than Sweden. Service of process should be made in Sweden in accordance with applicable international service rules, including the Hague Convention on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents (1965), addressed to:
TENSTACK AB, Magnus Ladulåsgatan 65, 118 27 Stockholm, Sweden
Nothing in this section is intended to waive any right TENSTACK may have to challenge service or personal jurisdiction in any specific proceeding. General notices to TENSTACK (not constituting formal service of process) may be sent to [email protected].
22. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer this agreement or any rights under it. TENSTACK may assign this agreement in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or corporate restructuring, provided that the assignee assumes TENSTACK's obligations under this agreement. If such an assignment materially affects your rights, you may terminate your use of the Game by uninstalling and discontinuing play; your Steam ownership rights remain unaffected and are governed by the Steam SSA.
23. Severability
If any provision of this agreement is held invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. Invalid or unenforceable provisions shall be disregarded; they shall not be rewritten by TENSTACK to preserve unfair terms.
24. Entire Agreement
This agreement, together with the GWYF Privacy Policy and the Steam SSA, constitutes the entire agreement between you and TENSTACK regarding the Game and supersedes any prior agreements or understandings. Nothing in this agreement overrides the Steam SSA, the Steam refund policy, or mandatory consumer rights in your jurisdiction.
25. Survival
If this agreement is terminated for any reason, the following sections continue to apply: Section 3 (License restrictions and IP), Section 4 (Age -- children's data deletion), Section 6 (Privacy by reference), Section 7 (Service Availability -- to the extent of mandatory consumer remedies for past purchases), Section 9 (Disclaimer of Warranties), Section 10 (Limitation of Liability), Section 11 (Indemnification), Section 12 (Termination & Player Conduct, to the extent of past conduct), Section 13 (Right of Withdrawal -- past waivers survive), Section 14 (Notices), Section 15 (Take Down Notice), Section 16 (Feedback), Section 17 (Governing Law), Section 18 (Dispute Resolution), Section 19 (EU/EEA/UK Consumer Disputes), Section 20 (One-Year Claim Limitation), Section 21 (Service of Process), Section 22 (Assignment), Section 23 (Severability), Section 24 (Entire Agreement), and this Section 25.

We do not try to verify age beyond declarations and Steam's own age gate, because the alternative would be
+----------------------------------------------------------+

We do not collect your Steam ID, payment data, IP address, or contact details, and we do not sell, share, or use the data for advertising. You have the right to object under GDPR Article 21. Voluntary bug reports may be submitted via an in-Game form or by email to [email protected].<br><br>Full details. TENSTACK AB

Last updated 2026-05-01
~
Thank you for playing GAMBLE WITH YOUR FRIENDS. We've written this EULA to set out the rules: what we (TENSTACK) can do, what you can do, and how we handle the data the Game generates. It's longer than we'd like, but the parts that matter legally need to be here in full. If anything is unclear or you have questions about this agreement, email us at [email protected].
~
A note on developer comments. Throughout this document you'll see paragraphs in italics labelled "DEVELOPER COMMENT." Those are us speaking directly to you about why a particular clause is written the way it is, or why we made a particular choice. They're for context only -- they are not part of the legal agreement and are not binding in any way.
~
~
Privacy. Data we process in connection with the Game is described in the GWYF Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement: https://gamblewithyourfriends.se/#game-privacy-policy-v1. By accepting this agreement, you also acknowledge the GWYF Privacy Policy.
~
Your use of Steam is also subject to the Steam Subscriber Agreement: https://store.steampowered.com/subscriber_agreement (the "Steam SSA"). The Game is distributed worldwide via Steam in all territories where Steam lawfully operates. Nothing in this agreement overrides the Steam SSA, the Steam refund policy, or mandatory consumer rights in your jurisdiction.
~
1. About This Agreement
~
This agreement is a legal contract between you ("You", "End User", "Player") and TENSTACK AB ("TENSTACK", "we", "us"), a Swedish aktiebolag with registered office at Magnus Ladulåsgatan 65, 118 27 Stockholm, Sweden, organisation number 559506-8353. It governs your use of the Game.
~
Acceptance of this agreement is a condition of installing or playing the Game. Age gating, geographical availability, payment, refunds, and Steam account matters are handled by Steam at platform level under the Steam SSA. Data processing is described in the GWYF Privacy Policy linked above. This platform-level handling does not limit TENSTACK's responsibilities as the content provider and data controller under applicable law.
~
References to specific laws (such as GDPR, Digital Content Directive, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, COPPA) are included to explain rights that may apply to you. They are not a representation that every procedural requirement of every listed regime applies to TENSTACK in all circumstances. Where mandatory local rules apply to you, those rules prevail.
~

~
You may not:

~
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code, except as expressly permitted by Section 3.1 (Player-Created Content) below or by mandatory law

~
- Upload, republish, or incorporate the Game or its content in any database or compilation
~
You may upload recordings of yourself playing the Game on streaming and video platforms (Twitch, YouTube, and similar), provided such use does not infringe TENSTACK's intellectual property, is not defamatory or unlawful, and is not used to misrepresent your relationship with TENSTACK.
~
3.1 Player-Created Content
~
To the extent you create modifications, custom content, or other works based on the Game ("Player-Created Content"), the following rules apply.
~
(a) Permitted Player-Created Content. You may create, share, and distribute non-commercial Player-Created Content of the following kinds:
~
- Visual modifications such as skins, custom art, UI themes, or cosmetic tweaks that do not alter game mechanics or random outcomes
~
- Custom languages or translations
~
- Recordings, replays, screenshots, or gameplay videos
~
- Other purely cosmetic or community modifications that do not fall within the prohibited categories below
~
(b) Prohibited Player-Created Content. You may not create, share, or distribute Player-Created Content that:
~
- Changes the random outcome, odds, payouts, or balance of any mini-game
~
- Adds real-money mechanics, trading systems, or external betting interfaces
~
- Connects the Game to any external gambling, betting, or payment service
~
- Bypasses age verification, parental controls, or Steam-level controls
~
- Contains sexually explicit, hateful, racist, ethnically or religiously abusive, or otherwise harmful content
~
- Misrepresents itself as official TENSTACK content or as endorsed by TENSTACK
~
- Infringes any third party's intellectual property or other rights
~
- Violates this agreement, the Steam SSA, or applicable law
~
(c) IP ownership. You retain intellectual property rights in your original contribution to Player-Created Content. By creating and sharing Player-Created Content based on the Game, you grant TENSTACK a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable license to use, reproduce, distribute, modify, and publicly display the Player-Created Content for any purpose related to the Game, to the extent permitted by applicable law and subject to your moral rights where they cannot be waived.
~
(d) Warranties. You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to create the Player-Created Content and to grant the licence in (c), and that the Player-Created Content does not infringe any third party's rights.
~
(e) Take-down and enforcement. TENSTACK may, at its sole discretion and in proportion to the issue, remove access to or take action against Player-Created Content that violates this Section 3.1. Where such content is hosted by TENSTACK or on a TENSTACK-controlled platform, it is also subject to that platform's rules.
~
(f) Future Fan Creation Policy. TENSTACK may publish a more detailed Fan Creation Policy at any time providing additional examples and guidance. Where such a policy is published and made available, it forms part of this agreement; it cannot expand the prohibitions in (b) without active acceptance of a material change under Section 14.

The Game is intended for players aged 13 and over, with the additional requirement that players must meet or exceed the Steam store age rating shown for the Game in their jurisdiction.
~
By accepting this agreement and playing the Game, you represent and warrant that you (a) are at least 13 years of age, (b) meet any higher minimum age set by the Steam store rating for the Game in your country, and (c) if you are under 18 years of age, represent that you have obtained the consent of a parent or legal guardian to play.
~
Players under 18 should play with parental awareness. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising the participation of minors and for deciding whether the simulated betting content of the Game is appropriate for the player.
~
Age verification is the responsibility of the player and, where applicable, their parent or guardian. Steam provides an age-gate at store level. TENSTACK does not independently verify player age beyond these declarations and Steam's store-level mechanism.
~
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe data has been processed from a child (under 13) without appropriate parental or guardian consent, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly. This notice is intended to comply with the United States Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and analogous laws.
~

We do not try to verify age beyond declarations and Steam's own age gate, because the alternative would be collecting government identification we do not want to hold.
+----------------------------------------------------------+
~
5. Simulated Betting & Responsible Play
~
The Game includes simulated betting mechanics using Virtual Currency only.
~
- Virtual Currency has no real-world monetary value
~
- Virtual Currency cannot be redeemed, traded, gifted, sold, or exchanged for money, prizes, or items inside or outside the Game
~
- Virtual Currency is non-transferable between player accounts; no in-game mechanism for such transfers exists
~
- No real money is wagered, won, or lost
~
The Game is intended as entertainment only. It is not designed to constitute gambling under applicable law; however, regulatory interpretations may vary by jurisdiction. You are responsible for ensuring use of the Game is lawful in your country. Geographical availability is determined by Steam.
~
If you or someone you know has concerns about gambling behaviour, support is available via:
~
- Sweden: https://stodlinjen.se
~
- United States: 1-800-522-4700, https://www.ncpgambling.org
~
+----------------------------------------------------------+
DEVELOPER COMMENT (context only, not legally binding)
+----------------------------------------------------------+
We built this Game as entertainment. No real money enters the Game, no real money leaves, and no in-game item can be traded or cashed out. We believe that makes it clearly separate from regulated gambling. We also know that the line between "simulated" and "real" gambling is being actively redrawn by regulators in multiple countries. If the way we built the Game is ever found to cross that line in your country, that's a product problem, not one we try to solve by wording in this agreement.
+----------------------------------------------------------+
~
6. Privacy and Data
~
~
Full details. Full information about data we collect, how we process it, where it is stored, your privacy rights, and applicable legal bases is set out in the GWYF Privacy Policy published at https://gamblewithyourfriends.se/#game-privacy-policy-v1. The GWYF Privacy Policy forms part of this agreement and is incorporated by reference. By accepting this agreement, you also acknowledge the GWYF Privacy Policy.
~
7. Service Availability
~
TENSTACK does not host the Game's real-time multiplayer sessions; those run peer-to-peer via Steam. The Game itself, once installed via Steam, is largely independent of TENSTACK's ongoing operation.
~
TENSTACK may modify, suspend, or discontinue the TENSTACK-side services connected to the Game (such as the telemetry endpoint or any future leaderboard service), or issue Game updates, for valid reasons including technical maintenance, security, legal compliance, substantial changes to underlying mechanics, or discontinuation of commercial operation.
~
Where a modification, suspension, or discontinuation of TENSTACK-side services materially and adversely affects players, TENSTACK will provide prior notice via the Steam news feed and/or in-game notice at least 30 days in advance where reasonably practicable. A discontinuation decision does not displace any mandatory consumer remedies that may apply under local law, including remedies under the Digital Content Directive (EU 2019/770) such as bringing the Game into conformity, repair, replacement, or proportionate refund where applicable.
~
We do not guarantee that the Game or any TENSTACK-side service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
~
+----------------------------------------------------------+
DEVELOPER COMMENT (context only, not legally binding)
+----------------------------------------------------------+
Because the multiplayer game runs peer-to-peer via Steam, the Game itself does not depend on us keeping a server up. If our telemetry collector or, in future, a leaderboard service goes offline, you will still be able to play with friends.
+----------------------------------------------------------+
~
8. Force Majeure
~
TENSTACK shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance arising from events beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labour disputes, governmental action, or pandemics. This clause does not extend to obligations TENSTACK owes under the Digital Content Directive or mandatory consumer law regarding digital content conformity.
~
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
~
~
TENSTACK DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE GAME WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. NO ORAL OR WRITTEN ADVICE FROM TENSTACK CREATES A WARRANTY.
~
Nothing in this section limits liability where such limitation is not permitted under applicable law, including the statutory guarantee of conformity under the Digital Content Directive (EU 2019/770), liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, liability for death or personal injury, or other mandatory consumer protections.
~
10. Limitation of Liability
~
~
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TENSTACK'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER THIS AGREEMENT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID FOR THE GAME IN THE 12 MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
~
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. To the extent that such exclusions are not permitted, TENSTACK's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. In the European Union, nothing in this section limits TENSTACK's liability under the Digital Content Directive, for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, death, personal injury, or other mandatory consumer law.
~
11. Indemnification
~
To the extent permitted by applicable law, and only in cases of your intentional misconduct or gross negligence, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless TENSTACK, its officers, employees, and contractors from direct damages awarded to third parties in claims arising from your:
~
- Intentional unlawful use of the Game
~
- Cheating, hacking, reverse engineering, or unauthorised manipulation of the Game
~
- Intentional breach of a third party's rights through your conduct in connection with the Game
~
The conduct described above triggers indemnification only when carried out intentionally or with gross negligence.
~
This obligation does not apply to your ordinary, legitimate, or merely negligent use of the Game. It does not extend to TENSTACK's own legal or defence costs. It does not apply where such indemnification cannot be required from a consumer under mandatory consumer protection law (including Swedish and EU law).
~
12. Termination & Player Conduct
~
Because TENSTACK does not host real-time gameplay sessions, TENSTACK's practical enforcement actions are limited. TENSTACK may, in proportion to the severity of the conduct: stop processing telemetry for a player; refuse to display a player on any TENSTACK-operated feature (such as future leaderboards); revoke any optional opt-in permissions previously granted; report serious misconduct to Steam; and pursue legal remedies. TENSTACK does not control your Steam ownership of the Game.
~
Conduct for which TENSTACK may take such actions includes:
~
- Violating this agreement
~
- Exploiting bugs, glitches, or unintended Game behaviour to gain unfair advantage
~
- Using unauthorised third-party tools, bots, macros, or automation
~
- Manipulating leaderboards through coordinated or collusive play, account sharing, or multi-accounting
~
- Engaging in deliberate actions intended to impair the Game experience for other players
~
- Attempting to access, probe, or disrupt TENSTACK servers, backend APIs, or network infrastructure
~
- Conducting denial-of-service activity
~
- Transmitting malicious code
~
- Engaging in targeted harassment, threats, or abuse directed at other players through any in-Game channel
~
- Using in-game chat, nicknames, or any user-submitted content to post sexually explicit, hateful, racist, ethnically or religiously abusive, or otherwise harmful language or imagery
~
- Publishing another player's real-world personal information in the Game or any related channel
~
- Impersonating TENSTACK, its employees or contractors, or another player
~
- Buying, selling, trading, renting, or transferring your Steam account, the Game, or any access to it for money or other consideration, or gifting it to circumvent platform restrictions
~
- Advertising, promoting, or soliciting products, services, or fundraising inside the Game
~
- Creating, using, distributing, or hosting server emulators or modified backends
~
- Collecting personal information from other players without their clear consent
~
- Soliciting personal information from any individual you know or should know to be under 18
~
- Using the Game to facilitate illegal activity
~
Where possible, TENSTACK will warn you before taking action, except in cases of severe misconduct, safety risk, or repeated violations. None of these actions affect your Steam ownership of the Game, which is governed by the Steam SSA. None of them affect your legal rights regarding your data.
~
+----------------------------------------------------------+
DEVELOPER COMMENT (context only, not legally binding)
+----------------------------------------------------------+
We wrote a long list because if we ever do need to take action, that action needs to be predictable and defensible, not arbitrary. We do not use these rules as a menu to silence people we disagree with.
+----------------------------------------------------------+

13. Right of Withdrawal (EU/EEA/UK Consumers)
~
Under Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), and the equivalent provision under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content supplied without a tangible medium does not apply once performance has begun with the consumer's express prior consent and acknowledgment that the right is thereby lost.
~
By clicking "I Accept" on this agreement during installation or at first launch, you (a) expressly consent to the immediate commencement of performance of the Game, and (b) acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal at that point. Your acceptance forms the operative waiver under Article 16(m).
~
Steam's purchase and download flow may also capture similar consent and acknowledgment under Steam's own terms; where it does, that is additional confirmation under Steam's separate agreement with you, not a substitute for your acceptance here.
~
If you have not yet clicked "I Accept" and wish to exercise any remaining right of withdrawal, you may seek a refund via Steam. Refund requests outside this waiver remain available under the Steam Refund Policy.
~
14. Notices & Changes to This Agreement
~
We may update this agreement to reflect changes in the Game, legal requirements, or operational needs.
~
~
For minor or non-material changes (e.g., typographical corrections, clarifications, or updates to links), we will notify you via the Steam news feed for the Game and/or an in-game notice. Continued use of the Game after the effective date constitutes acceptance of such non-material changes.
~
Updates to the GWYF Privacy Policy are governed by that document's own change-notice procedure.
~
15. Take Down Notice (Intellectual Property)
~
TENSTACK respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe content in or associated with the Game infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, you may submit a Take Down Notice to [email protected] containing:
~
- A description of the work or right you claim has been infringed, in sufficient detail to identify it
~
- A description of the allegedly infringing content and where it can be found
~
- A statement of good faith belief that the use is unauthorised
~
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and -- under penalty of perjury -- that you are the owner or are authorised to act on behalf of the owner
~
- Your contact details and physical or electronic signature
~
TENSTACK will respond to valid notices in a reasonable time and may, at its discretion, remove the challenged content or take other action it deems appropriate. This procedure is intended to comply with the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) where applicable.
~
16. Feedback
~
~
17. Governing Law
~
This agreement is governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflicts of law principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
~
Nothing in this section deprives consumers of mandatory protections available under the law of their habitual residence. Where local consumer protection law in your country, state, or province (including any non-waivable consumer protection statutes in US states such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, Unfair Competition Law, False Advertising Law, Consumers Legal Remedies Act, or analogous statutes elsewhere) provides stronger protection than Swedish law, those local protections prevail and the remainder of this agreement remains effective under Swedish law.
~
18. Dispute Resolution
~
We encourage you to contact us first at [email protected] to resolve any dispute informally. We will attempt to resolve your dispute within 60 days of receiving a written notice.
~
If the dispute is not resolved within 60 days:
~
- If you are an EU/EEA/UK Player, you may use the procedures in Section 19 (EU/EEA/UK Consumer Disputes)
~
- Otherwise, disputes are resolved in the courts of Stockholm, Sweden, with the Stockholm District Court (Stockholms tingsrätt) as first venue, without prejudice to your right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country, state, or province of residence where mandatory consumer protection law gives you that right. Either party may bring an action in small claims court if the dispute qualifies under local rules. Either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to preserve the status quo pending resolution of a dispute.
~
19. EU/EEA/UK Consumer Disputes
~
If you are an EU/EEA/UK Player and an unresolved dispute remains after the informal resolution period in Section 18, you may use:
~
- In Sweden, the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN): https://www.arn.se
~
- In other EU/EEA/UK jurisdictions, any applicable national alternative dispute resolution body for consumer disputes.
~
TENSTACK is not legally obliged to participate in ARN proceedings but will consider requests in good faith. EU/EEA/UK Players retain the right to bring claims in the courts of their country of residence under mandatory consumer protection law.
~
20. One-Year Claim Limitation (US Players Only)
~
~
21. Service of Process and Notices to TENSTACK
~
TENSTACK is a Swedish entity and does not maintain a registered agent for service of process in the United States or any country other than Sweden. Service of process should be made in Sweden in accordance with applicable international service rules, including the Hague Convention on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents (1965), addressed to:
~
TENSTACK AB, Magnus Ladulåsgatan 65, 118 27 Stockholm, Sweden
~
Nothing in this section is intended to waive any right TENSTACK may have to challenge service or personal jurisdiction in any specific proceeding. General notices to TENSTACK (not constituting formal service of process) may be sent to [email protected].
~
22. Assignment
~
You may not assign or transfer this agreement or any rights under it. TENSTACK may assign this agreement in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or corporate restructuring, provided that the assignee assumes TENSTACK's obligations under this agreement. If such an assignment materially affects your rights, you may terminate your use of the Game by uninstalling and discontinuing play; your Steam ownership rights remain unaffected and are governed by the Steam SSA.
~
23. Severability
~
If any provision of this agreement is held invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. Invalid or unenforceable provisions shall be disregarded; they shall not be rewritten by TENSTACK to preserve unfair terms.
~
24. Entire Agreement
~
This agreement, together with the GWYF Privacy Policy and the Steam SSA, constitutes the entire agreement between you and TENSTACK regarding the Game and supersedes any prior agreements or understandings. Nothing in this agreement overrides the Steam SSA, the Steam refund policy, or mandatory consumer rights in your jurisdiction.
~
25. Survival
~
