Effective date: 16.06.2026
This Agreement is a legal agreement between you and Albert Borsut regarding your use of Down The Stairs (the "Game").
By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using the Game, you agree to this Agreement.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Game for your personal, non-commercial entertainment through Steam.
2. Ownership
The Game and all related content, including code, visuals, audio, music, text, systems, and online features, are owned by Albert Borsut or used with permission.
This Agreement gives you a limited right to use the Game, not ownership of it.
3. Online Features
The Game may include online features such as:
- Player profiles
- Leaderboards
- Ghost playback
- Ghost watching
- Online statistics
- Character and beam-layout related sharing features
These online features may be changed, limited, suspended, reset, or discontinued at any time.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of online services.
4. Rules of Use
You may not:
- Cheat, exploit, manipulate, or falsify scores, times, or ghost data
- Abuse bugs, glitches, or unintended mechanics to gain an unfair leaderboard advantage
- Use offensive, abusive, hateful, unlawful, or misleading nicknames
- Attempt to interfere with servers, databases, or online systems
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the Game except where allowed by law
- Use the Game in a way that violates Steam rules or applicable law
5. Moderation and Enforcement
We may, at our discretion:
- Remove or edit offensive nicknames
- Remove invalid, bugged, glitched, or cheated scores and records
- Remove ghost data or related online data
- Reset leaderboards after major updates, balance changes, or technical issues
- Restrict or block access to online features for abuse, cheating, or disruption
6. User Data and Online Content
By using online features, you understand that certain gameplay-related information may be shown to other players as part of the Game experience, including nickname, scores, times, ghost data, and related gameplay information.
Your use of online features is also subject to our Privacy Policy.
7. AI Disclosure
The Game may contain certain pre-generated visual or sound assets created with the assistance of generative AI. No real-time generative AI gameplay feature is provided unless explicitly stated otherwise.
8. Disclaimer
The Game is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Game will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or available.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Albert Borsut shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from use of the Game or its online services.
10. Termination
This license may terminate if you violate this Agreement. We may also restrict or terminate access to online features for abuse, cheating, or other misconduct.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update or modify these Terms from time to time. The latest version will apply from the date it is published through our official channels. Continued use of the Game or its online features after such changes means you accept the updated Terms.
